The Team Leicestershire Hockey Finals

14 Teams from across Leicestershire, Leicester City & Rutland, took part in the Team Leicestershire Hockey Finals on the 17^th & 19^th of May.

The Year 7/8 Boys Finals saw 4 schools compete; it was Humphrey Perkins (South Charnwood) that took home the gold medals. Shepshed High (North Charnwood) came second, with The Market Bosworth School (Hinckley & Bosworth) finishing in third position.

The Year 7/8 Girls Finals again saw 4 schools compete; which saw De Lisle College (North Charnwood) take home the gold medals. Humphrey Perkins (South Charnwood) came second, with Shepshed High (North Charnwood) finishing in third position.

The Year 10 Boys Finals saw 4 schools compete; it was Humphrey Perkins (South Charnwood) that took home the gold medals. Soar Valley CC (East Leicester) came second, with Beauchamp College (Oadby & Wigston) finishing in third position.

The Year 10 Girls Finals saw just 2 schools compete. This meant Beauchamp College (Oadby & Wigston took home the gold medals, with Humphrey Perkins (South Charnwood) finishing as worthy runners up.

The main aim of Team Leicestershire is to ensure that as many young people as possible are able to represent their school and compete in a variety of sports / competitions, both at a local level against neighbouring schools, but then with the opportunity to progress through to county finals.
