It was triple delight for Rutland as they rocketed up the School Games table with three of the four wins in the gymnastics.
In a day (Wednesday 15th March) that saw four separate age groups compete against other schools and districts, Rutland picked up victories thanks to star performances from Catmose (Year 1/2), Brooke Hill Academy (Year 3/4) and Whissendine Primary (Year 5/6). The other victory went to Hinckley & Bosworth, for whom Millfield LEAD Academy topped the Key Steps 1 Mixed Disability.
Held at Oakham Gymnastics Academy, the events saw a mixture of floor routines combine with jumps and landings to test all skill levels and abilities. The overall day was superbly attended with 36 teams taking part over the course of all four age ranges.
