GO GOLD Athlete of the Week: Ben Higgins

Aged 16, Ben's highest accolade in his sport was winning the Schools International 400mH whilst representing England. Having gained podium finishes at every major championship on a national and international level last year, he aims to break into the international field even more in 2017.

We interviewed Ben to find out some things that we might not know about him...

If you won the lottery what would be the first thing that you bought? A new car.

Describe your favourite training session. Reps of 200 meter hurdles.

If not a professional athlete, what job do you want to have when you're older? An elite athlete coach or a sports psychologist.

If you could go back in time, what year would you go to? I would go back to 2012 to watch the London Olympics again.

How would your friends describe you? A bit of a practical joker but hard working when I need to be.

Do you have anything else that you'd like us to know? I can't wait for GCSEs to be over!! :)
