GO GOLD Athlete of the Week: Chris Mcmillan

Known for his running talents, Chris doesn't stop there! He tireless volunteers, goes to college, competes in the T20, while taking on other sports such as swimming, trathlon and boccia. Read his story:

1. Describe your typical day

My typical day consists of get up at about 7 am, going to college and then going home to get ready to go out for a run or go to a running club to volunteer and go on to do some training .

2. How would your friends describe you?

My friends have described me as being honest, funny and always there to try and help others and I always try my best with everything I do.

3. What has been your biggest challenge?

As a person with learning difficulties my hardest challenge was to gain my level 3 sports diploma.

4. If you could be an animal what would you choose?

If I were an animal I would be a bird because they can fly long distances in a short period of time.

5. What has been your proudest accomplishment?

My proudest achievement so far is passing my driving test as it gave me more independent.

6. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to Disney world as I would like to take my son there.

7. Do you have anything else that you would like us to know?

I have recently been to Morocco altitude training and I will continue to do my best with everything I do, I have tried different sports in the past like swimming, rock climbing, boccia. I would like to have a go at a triathlon at some point in the future.
