Team Leicestershire: Primary Table Tennis Finals

In early November the Team Leicestershire Primary Table Tennis County Finals for both boys and girls were held at Knighton Park Table Tennis Centre. Team Leicestershire provides opportunities for young people who aspire towards further progression and success in sport and physical activity by providing a traditional competitive school sport offer across Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland.

Thank you and congratulations to everyone that took part, it was great to see so many aspiring players showcasing their fantastic table tennis skills. We would also like to congratulate all participants and spectators for creating an amazing atmosphere throughout the day, as well as displaying great sportsmanship towards one another. A number of teachers who were umpiring the matches pointed out several players for the way in which they conducted themselves.

The vast majority of matches were extremely close, with lots of games going all the way to tie breaks, with a particularly thrilling game even going all the way to 18-16! All teams and players should be extremely proud of how they played and for making it to the finals of this competition.

The final standings for each events were:

We hope everyone enjoyed the tournament and hopefully we will see you again soon at a future Team Leicestershire County Final event.
