A Local Skills Improvement Plan – or LSIP for short – is a tool being produced on a locality-by-locality basis to help educators better respond to the needs of local businesses. Further Education Colleges must consider the LSIP when planning their curriculum. It has been commissioned by Government, with 38 being delivered across England. The LSIP for our area covers all of Leicester and Leicestershire

The work is captured as part of our Collective Intelligence Skills Observatory: www.insight-unlocked.co.uk

How can I get involved?

If you're a business, organisation or employer the East Midlands Chamber would love for you to be involved.

The Chamber will be working with employers and businesses to continue to get new intelligence on what attributes you need in your people to succeed. If you want to be a part of this, then please fill in this form: Insight Unlocked | Get Involved (insight-unlocked.co.uk).

You'll receive a couple of questions daily (Monday-Friday) via the PanelMe App for a fortnight every quarter. Many of these will be multiple-choice or YES/NO questions, so responding should take only a few moments each day.

You will be asked for your feedback on five topics related to your people needs: Confidence, Investment, Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours.

Sign up by the 7th March, and the survey will run from the 11th - 22nd March.

Thanks in advance for taking part. As well as helping to shape the future of skills provision, you will also benefit from early access to the findings of this research and a better understanding of what support is available to you.
