The 'Back To It' intervention aimed to give participants the knowledge, skills and confidence to enjoy an active lifestyle, despite their back pain.
The physical activity component of the programme at first aimed to break the association between movement and pain, and later progressed to help participants build strength, mobility, flexibility and postural control.
This Case Study is taken from the Active Together Annual Review 21/22. The document provides a snapshot of the work of the Active Together Board, team and partners and what we have done in partnership to encourage the communities in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland to be physically active and move more.
