This case study examines the use of funding in Leicestershire County in delivering various activity programmes.

Public Health and Partners alike have been continually funding Leicestershire County's physical activity programmes allowing them to continue in their successful work increasing activity across the county. Some examples can be seen below but more detail can be seen in the document itself.

Public Health invested £564,842 to support delivery of locality physical activity programmes. Alongside this partners invested £948,909.

Funding from public health and partners has continued to support the delivery of wellbeing at work, active families, graduate trainees, prehabilitation, early years and weight management programmes.

An Active travel in schools initiative has been launched in partnership with the school sports and physical activity networks to increase safe, sustainable an active travel to and from schools.
