This case study celebrates the Men' Minds in Motion programme.

The Men's Minds in Motion programme aimed to bring men together to be active and support each other's mental wellbeing.

Walk leader Elliott who has personal experience with mental health issues started a men's walk from a local coffee shop. Since this first walk which attracted 21 men the group has grown with its Facebook page is soon to reach 70 members. Beside the group's growth, they have inspired other groups of men to also increase their activity. These include couch to 5K running groups, mountain biking and fishing.

All of these groups have created a strong community where men can support each other get more active and with their mental health.

This Case Study is taken from the Active Together Annual Review 21/22. The document provides a snapshot of the work of the Active Together Board, team and partners and what we have done in partnership to encourage the communities in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland to be physically active and move more.
