This case study celebrates New Parks being the second area of Leicestershire to benefit from a Cruyff Court multi use games area.

In September 2021, New Parks became the second area of Leicester to benefit from a Cruyff Court multi use games area, built to serve and engage members of the local community.

The Cruyff Court offers the community of New Parks a playfield that stimulates physical activity, however it is designed to be much more than just a football pitch. For example, Leicester City in the Community use the court to host workshops for mental health and employability sessions.

It is open from 9am – 10pm, 7 days a week for people to utilise for football or other activities.

This Case Study is taken from the Active Together Annual Review 21/22. The document provides a snapshot of the work of the Active Together Board, team and partners and what we have done in partnership to encourage the communities in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland to be physically active and move more.
