About This Campaign

Walk Leicester Festival launches on Sunday 28th April 2019 and runs throughout the whole month of May, to celebrate walking in the city and the fantastic benefits you can gain from increasing your active travel and physical activity.

There are so many exciting events taking place and everyone is invited to join us for the Walk Leicester Festival, no matter your level of fitness or ability. The festival is a showcase of all Leicester has to offer on foot – most sights and attractions are within a short stroll of the city centre, so people are encouraged to walk to the events. Walks will take place all around the city, including streets, parks and waterways.

All walks are free of charge and may require pre-booking via Eventbrite.

Discover Leicester's History	Wednesday 8 May 12.30pm – 1.30pm	Meet at Jubilee Square. Booking is essential.
Walk on the Wild Side: Ellis Meadows	Thursday 9 May 10am – 11.30am	Meet at Abbey Pumping Station. Booking is essential.
Outdoor gym demonstration with warm up walk: Victoria Park	Thursday 9 May 5.30pm – 6.20pm	Meet at the outdoor gym at Victoria Park. Booking is essential.
A walk to REMEMBER	Saturday 11 May 1.30pm – 3pm	Meet at All Saints Church, High Cross Street. Booking is essential.
Leicester City Football Club: Foxes Walk	Tuesday 14 May 7pm – 8.30pm	Meet at the Fan Store at King Power Stadium. Booking is essential – email trust@lcfc.co.uk and quote 'Foxes Walk'.
Wake Up and Smell the Coffee!	Thursday 16 May 12.30pm – 1.30pm	Meet at the Thomas Cook Statue, near Leicester Railway Station. Booking is essential.
