Leicester City Sports Awards

People are being given the chance to nominate their favourite local sporting heroes in a campaign celebrating the best of the city's talents.

There is so much to celebrate and reflect upon including when Leicester played host to three prestigious Rugby World Cup group stage matches at Leicester City Stadium.

The awards recognise the sporting achievements of teams and individual from the city. This includes the dedicated volunteers who give up their spare time to coach teams or individuals and those unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes to help a club run smoothly.

There are 12 categories and all nominees must live, attend school, volunteer or represent a club within the city boundaries of Leicester.

The 2015 Sports Awards Nominations recognise achievements between 1 September 2014 – 31 August 2015. The closing date for entries is 5pm on Monday 16 November 2015. All nominees shortlisted in each category will be invited to a presentation evening to celebrate their accomplishments. This year's event will take place in the Attenborough Hall which is located in City Hall, 115 Charles Street, Leicester LE1 1FZ, on 3 December 2015.
