Are you female and fancy trying something new?

'This Girl Can' is a nationwide campaign to get women and girls moving, regardless of shape, size and ability. Hinckley Squash and Racketball Club have teamed up with Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sport and England Squash to offer a FREE women and girls only event to allow them to give Squash a try. Plus a set of follow up female only coaching sessions.

Squash is a great upper and lower body workout, strengthening muscles and burning up to 800 calories per hour. It is a game that can be played at any age and is easy to learn. So at this time of year if you are looking for an indoor activity to burn off some of your Christmas excesses why not give squash a try?

The event will take place on Saturday 28th January between 3pm and 7pm at Hinckley Squash and Racketball Club. Women and girls of ALL ages are welcome to drop in any time between 3pm and 7pm to give squash a try and receive a free goodie bag. All equipment will be provided - all that is needed is sports kit and a pair of clean, non-marking trainers. Professional coaches will be on hand to tell you everything you need to know.

We are also excited to announce that World Number 11, Sarah-Jane Perry will be attending to offer coaching and motivation. Sarah-Jane is a local girl, born in Birmingham and based in Kenilworth. She is very passionate about inspiring more women and girls to take up squash and excited about sharing her positive experiences.

If you would like to attend the event you can either simply turn up on the day or sign up online via www.goo.gl/pxDXW7. You will receive an enhanced goodie bag if you sign up in advance. If you would like more information email development@hinckleysquash.com. For Club details visit www.hinckleysquash.com or www.facebook.com/hinckleysquash.

The follow up female only coaching sessions will then take place on Thursday evenings from 6.30-7.30pm starting from Thursday 16th February. These will run as a 6 week block and will cost £3 per session. The first session is free for anyone booking in advance. If you would like to book onto this course please email development@hinckleysquash.com. You do not have to attend the event on 28th January to book onto the coaching sessions.
