GO GOLD Athlete of the Week: Megan Morrison

Aspiring young swimmer Megan Morrison is the next under the microscope as GO GOLD Athlete of the Week.

The Loughborough University swimmer qualified for British/Olympic trials last year after strong performances in the pool and is hoping to make 2017 an even better year.

Megan took time out from her training to give us an insight into her life.

1. What is your proudest accomplishment (doesn't have to be sport related)?

Qualifying for a final in the 200m breastroke at the Olympic trials.

2. Describe your favourite training session.

My favourite training session is a hypoxic. This involves us doing multiple lengths underwater with no breaths and can be done with a resistance such as a parachute to make it harder.

3. Who is your biggest role model and why?

Usain Bolt because I think he brings a lot of personality and excitement to sport and also is making people more aware of the commitment and requirements of being an athlete by making his movie.

4. If you were stuck in a lift for a day with three people, who would those three people be?

Peter Kay, Michael Phelps and a lift engineer so that I wouldn't have to be stuck in a lift for an entire day.

5. If you won the lottery what would be the first thing that you bought?

A private aeroplane so that I could go on holiday whenever and wherever I wanted.
