Team Leicestershire Returns! - First event of 2022/23

This week we have had our first Team Leicestershire Table Tennis County Finals Events at Knighton Park Table Tennis Club. Team Leicestershire provides opportunities for young people who aspire towards further progression and success in sport & physical activity by providing the traditional competitive school sport offer across Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland.

Thank you and congratulations to everyone that took part, it was great to see some of the amazing table tennis on display and the standard seems to get higher year on year. All matches were hotly contested, with competitors displaying great sportsmanship towards one another. It was an all South Leicestershire affair in a pulsating final, Manor High eventually coming out victorious against Kibworth Mead.

The final standings for the events were:

2. Kibworth Mead Academy (B&H)
3. Avanti Fields (E Leics)
4. Bosworth Academy (H&B)
5. Fulhurst CC (W Leics)
6. Anstey Martin (S Charnwood)

Good luck to Manor High School who will go on to represent Leicestershire and Rutland at the Regional Competition!
