Sector Careers Focus - Adventure Sport and Health & Wellbeing

"We provide a different opportunity for those who are interested in sport but maybe don't fit into a team sport"

Stuart Fraser Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre Manager

Adventure sports offer rolls from Climbing Instructors to Field Sport Activity Leads. The rolls available are as interesting as the activities are diverse. Many individuals who have developed their skills locally have then found opportunities to travel the world while still working within the sub-sector

Health and Wellbeing is a fantastic sub-sector to explore. Here you will find rolls that include supporting people to become more active, using activity to support treatment of long-term health conditions and working with different communities to improve daily life.

Hear from amazing people within these sub-sector as they tell you how they are supporting people to move more:

Available rolls include:

Outdoor Instructor Apprentice with Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Center

Marketing and Communications Officer with Active Together

Sport and Physical Activity Team Leader with Active Blaby
