The Kibworth High School Sets Team Leicestershire Record for Closest Victory in the last Table Tennis Finals.

The last of the Team Leicestershire Table Tennis finals was played at Judgemeadow and hosted U-16 Girls. It was four teams getting this far featuring: The Kibworth School, Moat Community College, Our Lady's Convent School and Manor High School.

The teams played a round robin, each team playing each other in a group stage. The top two teams, The Kibworth School and Moat Community College qualified through to the play-offs for first and second position, while Our Lady's Convent School and Manor High School competed for third and positions.

It was the closest finals of the table tennis in Team Leicestershire history as Kibworth and Moat drew 4-4 on points overall and equal on games won, meaning the winner could only be separated by amount of points won in all games played on the night. It was a cruel way to drop in second place for Moat, while Kibworth dug out a well-deserved victory. Well done for all teams competing on the night.

The results of the finals conclude:

Results – Under 16 Girls

Winners ~ the Kibworth School

2nd Place ~ Moat Community College

3rd Place ~ Our Lady's Convent School

4th Place ~ Manor High School

The next Team Leicestershire finals will commence again with a fresh sport, netball on 7th December at DeMontfort University.
