Introducing our Active Together Champion, Kevin!

Since retiring in 2017, Kevin has combined his love for the outdoors with being active, and has spent a great deal of time in the woods or working to make his volunteer group more successful and accessible to others.

Kevin is the chairman and director of Heartwood Community Woodfuel Group CIC, who are a volunteer group managing woodland in North West Leicestershire. The group has over 100 volunteers who spend their time working in several local woodlands and managing them on behalf of landowners such as the Woodland Trust.

The group has serves as a social community for individuals from all over Leicestershire to join, where they can get involved with looking after the woodlands and make friends for life.
